Summary/Abstract: This paper examines ethical adequacy in different types of IT organizations in Bulgaria. The study is based on a multidimensional model that includes four analytical dimensions: normative-institutional, managerial-procedural, cultural-behavioral and result-indicator.The results show that ethical adequacy is strongly influenced by the organizational model, degree of formalization, managerial autonomy and organizational maturity. Mature and more institutionalized organizations demonstrate higher and more balanced levels of ethical adequacy, while the start-up organization shows stronger cultural-behavioral characteristics but weaker formal and procedural mechanisms. The findings also indicate that formal ethical policies are necessary but insufficient for achieving sustainable ethical adequacy. Their effectiveness depends on their practical implementation through management processes and their internalization in organizational culture.
