Summary/Abstract: IT department in Financial Companies evolved during years following contemporary development of Infor-mation Technologies. It is being driven by digitalization and automation, and recently by extensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) use. The article presents the standard organization struc-ture of IT and the possibility to promote and benefit from AI not only as supporter of its introduction into other depart-ments, but as a viable tool for efficiency gain in IT department itself. Article presents possible future organization after AI im-plementation.
