Summary/Abstract: To initiate the procedure for waiving the immunity (inviolability) of a Member of the European Parliament, the investigative committee must adopt a resolution requesting the European Parliament for the waiver of the immunity of the Member of the European Parliament to arrest and compulsorily bring the Member to a sitting of the investigative committee of the Sejm. The request should specify the subject matter, the factual circumstances justifying the request, and evidence confirming the Member's failure to appear before the investigative committee. The committee should request the Marshal of the Sejm to submit to the European Parliament, via the Council of Ministers (the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU), the committee's request for the waiver of the immunity of a Member of the European Parliament.
