The possibility of receiving information confirming the sending of a summons to a sitting of an investigative committee of the Sejm via electronic means

Summary/Abstract: In light of provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, electronic delivery will be effective regardless of whether the addressee consented to this form of delivery. However, a participant in legal proceedings should be instructed that documents may also be delivered by fax and e-mail, and that this method of delivery has the same legal effect as delivery to an address of residence. Proof that a summons to appear at a hearing of an investigative committee of the Sejm has been delivered via e-mail is provided by the transmission of data between mail servers through outgoing mail logs indicating that the message was sent and no information about its return.
