Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the European Union has been actively developing regulations on data processing, aiming to reconcile the protection of individual rights with the need to support innovation and effectively shape public policies. This article focuses on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), which seeks, on the one hand, to increase patients' control over their medical records and, on the other, to enable the secondary use of data for purposes serving the common good, such as scientific research and the development of public policies and regulatory actions. The article analyses to what extent the second aim of EHDS aligns with Polish constitutional standards, particularly concerning the protection of privacy, informational self-determination, and academic freedom.
