Summary/Abstract: Deputies may, as a rule, engage in extra-parliamentary activities, including economic or social activities, except in the cases specified in the Constitution and the Act on the Exercise of the Mandate of a Deputy or Senator. However, Deputies may not conduct any business activity on their own account or together with other persons with utilisation of State or communal property, and may not manage such activity and serve as representative or plenipotentiary in the conduct of such activity. They may not be members of the managing, supervisory or reviewing authorities, commercial representatives of businesses with partnership of State or communal legal persons, or businesses in which such persons participate. Deputies and Senators may not possess a block of more than 10% of holdings or shares in commercial companies with partnership of State or communal legal persons or businesses in which such persons participate. In the case under analysis, a Deputy may not manage the economic activities of an entity (be a member of the management board of a company), since it utilises State property (funds paid from the State budget) in its activities.
