Summary/Abstract: Maria Teresa Horta is a poet, writer, journalist and women’s rights activist whose dynamic civic and cultural engagement is inseparable from the social fabric shaped by the April 25th Revolution. In this article, we analyze her book Mulheres de Abril (1977) in dialogue with the evolution of Portuguese society both at the time of its publication and in the present day. The aim is to highlight the book’s ongoing relevance by examining persistent issues, such as labor dynamics, domestic work, and domestic violence.
