Summary/Abstract: OBJECTIVES: The study aims to compare clients’ needs, considering their life stories, with supervisors’ experiences and verify how well these needs align with the CARe methodology. THEORETICAL BASE: It is based on the approach to patients with the CARe methodology (Comprehensive Approach to Rehabili tation). METHODS: The text is conceived as a thematic analysis of narrative interviews with patients, and the results of the analysis are compared with the practical experience of supervisors. This combination offers guidance to the education of social workers and therapists working with people with mental ill ness. OUTCOMES: The analyses are based on interviews with clients’ lived experiences and offer factors that significantly affect their lives. According to the practical experience of supervisors, these factors are a common theme in supervision. SOCIAL WORK IMPLICATIONS: The results highlight themes perceived by patients as important, providing valuable guidance for working with clients to develop strategies forsupport and improving their relationships.
