Summary/Abstract: The poetry of the contemporary Serbian poet Dragan Bošković is characterized by a special rhythmic-melodic organization: partly conditioned by the influence of punk and rock, which appears not only through subcultural references in intertextual frameworks, but also affect the very nature of language and verse. Therefore, a very special attention was paid to the author̕s auditory imagination (T. S. Eliot) and the processes of (dis)integration of the poetic language/poetic world through the use of exclamatory and onomatopoeic lexicon. Remembering/forgetting mimetic referentiality expressed through the use of onomatopoeia and exclamations has a special vitalistic function in Bošković̕s poetic world. In this paper, the processes of erasing language and returning to the origin of the words had been examined through defining creative paths of language reduction to melody, rhythm, sound, i.e. the use of onomatopoeia and exclamations. The relationships between the phonetic and semantic planes are reexamined simultaneously. Bošković̕s entire poetic opus will be considered, with the special attention to the poetry that has been created since the poem collection The Clash until today.
