Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyse the impact of artificial intelligence on workers in the context of Europe's digital labour transition, examining the relationship between humans, algorithms and the law. While the increasing use of AI enhances the efficiency and optimisation of professional activities, it also generates significant legal and social challenges related to data protection, confidentiality, professional responsibility and compliance with the principle of non-discrimination.This study examines the impact of AI integration on employment relationships, particularly in scenarios where employers use algorithmic systems for recruitment, contract drafting and review, and legal document preparation, or even dismissal decisions. Within this framework, the paper highlights the risks associated with automated decision-making and the redefinition of traditional professional roles. Furthermore, it analyses the potential of AI to address labour shortages while emphasising the need for effective human oversight of decisions assisted or generated by algorithms. In this regard, the study emphasises that AI should remain a supportive tool and not replace the human factor entirely. Finally, the paper argues for the need to adapt labour law at the European Union level to ensure adequate worker protection and promote the responsible integration of AI in the professional environment.
