Summary/Abstract: Can the sound of scissors cutting razor produce a work of art? Can a snipped concertina guide a hand to a place where the stirring of imagination derived from an ethical impulse becomes a vision that finds an outlet in artistic form? Issues derived from questions posed in this manner are the warp of a sketch presenting interpretation insight into the semiotic potential of the Hedera Helix installation (author: Grzegorz Hańderek; permanent exposition of the installation in the International Centre for Dialogue in Krasnogruda); reflections conducted in the sketch pertain chiefly to Hańderek’s artistic interference of meanings inscribed into common ivy (Hedera helix L.) and razor wire (concertina).
