Summary/Abstract: Krasnogruda and Sejny rendered the author aware that ambitious and significant undertakings can be realised not solely in large cultural centres. And that reforms and changes of social awareness can be initiated at grass-roots level, and Euro-integration can be realised within a process of a (revived) discovery of one’s European qualities from the inside, within our traditions and daily life, local tolerance, and openness towards the world.
