Summary/Abstract: The dynamic international situation determines the growth of the threat of terrorism to international security and the security of states. Due to its geographical location and internal situation, the People's Republic of China is particularly vulnerable to this type of threat. The immediate vicinity of Afghanistan, which has been in an internal crisis since 1979, determines the activity of numerous terrorist organizations right on the Chinese border. Although China pursues a policy of neutrality and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, it tries to use its influence in Afghanistan and relations with the Taliban to ensure its security and expand its zone of influence. Beijing takes completely different actions towards Uyghur organizations, which often conduct terrorist activities directed against China. Afghanistan has therefore become one of the most strategic directions of Chinese policy, which is to ensure security and internal stability.
