Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to examine the dynamics of public opinion in Poland and Ukraine regarding the assessment of the current state of Polish-Ukrainian relations after the Russia`s attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, as well as the vision of their future. This diagnosis refers to the social and official dimension of the relations between the two nations. The analysis mainly focused on the results of quantitative and qualitative public opinion surveys conducted in both countries in 2022-2024. After a sharp increase in mutual sympathy, although greater on the Ukrainian side, and positive assessments of Polish-Ukrainian relations, over time both societies began to become aware of the growing tensions in bilateral relations - both at the state and social levels. Non-war contexts of relations began to be noticed, including conflicts of interest and rivalry in the political, economic and social spheres. The dynamics of public opinion at the turn of 2023/2024 were influenced in particular by the crisis on the Polish-Ukrainian border, related to the blockades of Polish farmers and transport carriers. Both nations understood the importance and increasing complexity of mutual relations, the need for cooperation, especially in the field of security and economic exchange.
