Summary/Abstract: The death of a human being is both a legal and a medical fact. Obviously, these are not the only fields of science that revolve around these events. These are likewise cultural and social facts, as well as those pertaining to religion. Death remains a subject of enduring interest within philosophy, ethics, and psychology. This report considers the phenomenon of death from two principal perspectives: the legal and the medical.
