Problems of foreigners in Polish prisons

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the issue of foreigners serving prison sentences in Polish prisons. In particular, the safety risks associated with the placement of inmates of this category in a penal institution were taken into consideration - in particular concerning the placement within the penitentiary, manifestations of criminal subculture and other negative events involving this group. In the following order, the possibilities and restrictions of rehabilitation carried out in prisons are presented - in particular, legal provisions and examples of rehabilitation effects are indicated. The presentation of the restrictions related to the effective rehabilitation of foreigners is complemented.
