Summary/Abstract: The translation presented here comprises the passage of the Chronicle of the Morea extending from lines 6777 to 7164, which recounts the Battle of Tagliacozzo fought in 1268 between Charles I of Anjou and Conradin, along with the subsequent events. Particular attention is given to the moreot contingents supporting Charles and to the valour of William II of Villehardouin, Prince of Achaia. The central figure of the episode is William, who – according to the text – secures victory in the battle over Conradin’s forces by virtue of his talent and bravery.
