Summary/Abstract: The article seeks to provide a more comprehensive description of the lexeme heteryk ('a heterosexual person'), which originated in the sociolect of non-heteronormative communities. In the absence of a thorough linguistic analysis, the term may be interpreted superficially, without adequate awareness of the meanings that emerge in discourse. The reconstructed image of heteryk - divided into quasi-profiles - is based on recurring stereotypes and highlights the nature of the relationship between the minority and the wider society. The analysis of the word's usage draws on modified approaches derived from the theory of the linguistic worldview and from discourse analysis. These methods make it possible to reconstruct the representation while taking into account the social conditions that shape the perception of heterosexual individuals.
