Summary/Abstract: The article provides an overview of studies in non-historical Polish word formation published between 2000 and 2025. The discussion is anchored in selected non-historical syntheses and representative examples of analytical approaches relevant to the issues under consideration. These include, on the one hand, studies grounded in structuralist methodology, extending earlier descriptions of the word-formation system of 20th-century Polish, and, on the other, research drawing on theories and practices developed within post-structural linguistics, particularly cognitive and communicative (pragmatic) linguistics. The article also takes into account the achievements of contemporary neography, especially with respect to the compilation of corpora of word-formation innovations and the verification of their novelty. In line with its stated aims, the selection of literature is intended to demonstrate both the continuity and the innovativeness of word-formation research in the 21st century, rather than to offer an exhaustive survey or a comprehensive mapping of research communities.
