Summary/Abstract: Today’s world is in a state of perpetual transformation in which artificial technologies aim to increase human comfort, extend life, and provide everything a person needs to achieve happiness. Among the means by which humanity seeks to enhance its performance and enrich its pleasures and passions, digital technology stands out in its many forms. Its benefits are undeniable: when used with wisdom, discernment, and self-control, digital technology serves as a valuable tool for information and communication, breaking down distances between people, easing everyday tasks, and simplifying daily work. Yet uncontrolled use can easily lead to dependency and, in more severe cases, addiction — diminishing or even abolishing personal freedom. The consequences affect not only physical and mental health but also spiritual life, distancing the person from God.
