Summary/Abstract: The text analyzes the omnipresent crisis in the humanities and attempts to identify the reasons for the repeated manifestation of this crisis. Based on an examination of the relevant intellectual turning points, the text raises the question of the extent to which there is a connection between literary reading and aesthetic experience after postmodernism. Could a new uniform term for the era be agreed upon after the 2000s? In the absence of such a term, researchers currently refer to post-postmodernism, epimodernism or metamodernism. First, his paper examines whether the current crisis in literary interpretation methods can be considered a new phenomenon. If the answer to this question is affirmative, the article discusses what contribution these theories can make to approaches of the aesthetic experience, i.e., whether a non-semantic form of reading can be developed after postmodern and post-postmodern theories. Second, in this study, I will partially address the question of which approaches to interpretation have replaced traditional theories of aesthetic experience after the crisis of various theories. Third, this article will examine whether moods can be interpreted using more traditional forms of semiotics.
