Summary/Abstract: Both the Internet and legal regulations are tools which, if used in an uncontrolled, incorrect or unethical manner, can pose a threat to the implementation of the idea of freedom of speech or even become a highly effective tool of censorship. It is not by chance that this topic has become the subject of regulation at the EU level and, as a result, requires the activity of national legislators. The article characterizes the concept of the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA) and its significance for the Polish legal system. The second part of the article is devoted to the Anti-SLAPP Directive (EU) and its implementation in the Polish legal system.
