Summary/Abstract: Reports represent a complex presentation and display of results and information from analytical examination of the security situation, phenomena and events, measures and actions taken, i.e., the degree of implementation of program and planning documents from the service's work. Members of internal affairs and lower-level managers have the obligation to report to their superior officer or person authorized by them about events, phenomena, data and operational findings, measures and actions taken, achieved results and effects accomplished in performing duties within their jurisdiction. This paper addresses the topic of reporting in police agencies, where the concept, objectives, types of information, sources of knowledge about criminal offenses are defined, based on which a conclusion is drawn. Within the framework of the Information on the Security Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2022, which was prepared in accordance with the Work Program of the Ministry of Security of BiH for 2023, and based on available data from police agencies in BiH and other competent institutions, statistical data on the state of general crime for the mentioned period were provided through the information and reporting system.
