Summary/Abstract: English as the dominant language of global communication has a significant influence on the Serbian language through the process of lexical borrowing. This study focuses on the phenomenon of lexical borrowing from English, examining lexemes containing colour components (e.g., Black Friday, Red Bull, blue jeans) that have been adopted into Serbian in their original form. Such borrowings not only enrich the Serbian lexicon but also reflect the language’s adaptation to new social, cultural, and technological realities.
