Summary/Abstract: This article examines the role of love in theological and catechetical perspectives, presenting it as a fundamental principle of Christian anthropology and as a key element of faith formation. Drawing on Scripture, Church tradition, and contemporary catechetical documents--especially the General Directory for Catechesis (1997) and the Directory for Catechesis (2020)--the study argues that love is both the content and method of catechesis. Christian love, rooted in divine revelation, becomes a source of personal, communal, and social transformation. In order to provide a broader theological context for understanding love as a principle of Christian formation, selected literature on the subject is included (including works by J. Ratzinger, H.U. von Balthasar and A. Nygren).
