Summary/Abstract: Maria Montessori developed an educational philosophy centered on supporting the child’s development through the creation of a prepared environment that respects the child’s innate desire to learn. The teacher acts as a facilitator and a guide, ready to reflect on and adapt their attitudes in response to the observed needs of the children, entailing a necessary personal transformation. The Montessori teacher’s role involves navigating numerous tensions, particularly in relation to traditional expectations imposed by the educational system. This paper presents the findings of a study carried out from 2023 to 2024 aimed at identifying the dimensions of pedagogical success as experienced by Montessori teachers within the scope of their professional responsibilities. The study, based on a diagnostic survey conducted on a sample of 206 teachers, proved that professional success is perceived as multidimensional and processual. The key importance is attributed to a consciously created educational environment that supports the development of children's autonomy. The pedagogical success of the surveyed teachers results from their commitment to creating optimal learning conditions in accordance with the principles of the Montessori method.
