Summary/Abstract: The jewelry industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the adoption of sustainability principles throughout the entire production chain. Against the backdrop of growing concerns regarding the ecological and social impact of raw material extraction, designers, manufacturers, and consumers are redirecting their perspectives toward ethical practices, the use of innovative technologies, and the integration of alternative materials with a reduced environmental footprint. This article analyzes the evolution of the concept of sustainability in the jewelry industry, consumer trends, the role of digital technologies (CAD/CAM, 3D printing, VR/AR), and the introduction of alternative materials.
