Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the presence of Jagiellonian troops – Polish, Lithuanian, and occasionally Teutonic – in Lviv at the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the early modern period. As the most important city in the Ruthenian lands of the Kingdom of Poland, Lviv was almost constantly serving as a concentration point and logistics base for mercenary troops of the regular defence forces (obrona potoczna), the royal court banner (curienses), and the general levy of the nobility (pospolite ruszenie), both during defensive and offensive operations.
