Summary/Abstract: A coalition agreement in Spain, signed by the leader of the socialist party Pedro Sánchez, which included amnesty for the separatist activists, caused political outrage and the emergence of a protest movement. It focused its activities on Ferraz Street in Madrid. These daily protests evolved into a social movement, which covered a wide range of attitudes concentrated on nationalist, conservative, and catholic values, as well as the critique of policies of Pedro Sánchez and various aspects of socio-political reality in Spain. This movement is also perceived as indirectly connected with VOX, a political party based on similar convictions. Protests on Ferraz constitute an interesting case of a nationalist social movement that goes against dominant tendencies in the politics of Spain.
