Summary/Abstract: This work is devoted to the sets of rituals "Mevlid" and "Mevlid Live" among the Bulgarian Muslims from the region of Teteven. These sets are part of the post-funereal cycle of rituals and enrich the ideas regarding the Islamic cultural traditions in the Bulgarian lands by their specific characteristics. The article presents the sense and meaning of the concept of "Mevlid" in classical Islamic tradition. What has been interesting is its transformations in the conceptions of the different Muslim communities in Bulgaria and its characteristic interpretation by the Bulgarian Muslims in the region of Teteven against the background of the general picture thus outlined. An essential place has been given to the "Mevlid Live" set of rituals, which is not common among other Muslim communities in Bulgaria. The sets of rituals described arc living and viable in our time, reflecting and regulating social relations in the group and presenting some of the markers, bringing out its identity.
