The SAPERE AUSO Scholarship as a Form of Acknowledgement of Academic Activity and Achievements of Gifted Young People

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the authors examined the academic achievements of students awarded the SAPERE AUSO scholarship in Warsaw (Poland), through the examination of collected students’ documents. The analyses revealed the multifaceted nature of the interests and activities within the sphere of education of the SAPERE AUSO recipients. Many students exhibited their creativity through their achievements which include articles, papers, conference presentations, awards and prizes, patents and applications. While scholarships can be viewed as an acknowledgement of past achievement, the aim of this study is to examine the post award achievement of the SAPERE AUSO scholarships. W niniejszym artykule autorzy przeanalizowali osiągnięcia akademickie uczniów, którzy otrzymali stypendium SAPERE AUSO w Warszawie (Polska), wykorzystując do tego celu zgromadzoną dokumentację uczniowską. Analizy ujawniły wielowymiarowy charakter zainteresowań i działań w sferze edukacji beneficjentów programu SAPERE AUSO. Wielu uczniów wykazało się kreatywnością poprzez swoje dokonania, obejmujące artykuły, referaty, wystąpienia konferencyjne, nagrody i wyróżnienia oraz zgłoszenia patentowe. Celem niniejszego badania była analiza osiągnięć stypendystów programu SAPERE AUSO po przyznaniu stypendium.
