Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to assess the sense of coherence among singles and those in relationships. A total of 186 individuals were surveyed (118 in relationships and 68 singles). A. Antonovsky's Life Orientation Questionnaire and our own survey were used. It was found that those in relationships demonstrated a higher sense of meaningfulness. The level of manageability and comprehensibility did not significantly depend on gender or being in a close relationship. The sense of coherence among singles and those in relationships was significantly related to age. Women in relationships demonstrated a higher level of meaningfulness. The obtained results have practical value, suggesting the need to develop and strengthen the sense of coherence as an important personal resource.
