PATRU ISPISOACE, CÂTEVA SATE ȘI O MÂNĂ DE OAMENI
FOUR CHARTERS, SEVERAL VILLAGES, AND A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE

Summary/Abstract: In this contribution, we highlight four documents issued by the Moldavian Chancellery between 1609 and 1611, as well as in 1628, concerning several villages in the counties of Tecuci and Fălciu. Based on the texts of the documents, we have written brief histories of the villages Slipoteni, Obârșia Berheciului, Medeleni, Brăteni, and Măgdășeni, and have also added some information about their owners, among whom was the second logothete Ioan Vitolt.
