Summary/Abstract: Objective: Due to its valuable collections, the Wiktor Count Baworowski Foundation Library was considered a library of fundamental importance to Polish national heritage and culture. It was a significant research centre, and its collections could be accessed locally and through external loans. The Poznań University Library, among others, took advantage of this opportunity, following the procedure adopted by the Bavorovianum. This article aimed to determine the nature of the two libraries' mutual contacts. Method: For this article, we analysed fund 204, containing archival materials devoted to the work of the Bavorovianum, currently stored in Lviv (in the collections of the V. Shevchenko Lviv National Scientific Library of Ukraine). In addition to the archival method, we utilised the method of criticism and analysis of literature and elements of the functional method. Conclusions: Based on the analyses, the frequency of interlibrary loans was determined, and it was possible to identify some of the readers for whom books and manuscripts were imported from Lviv. These documents not only indicate their academic interests and activities, but also illustrate their research techniques. Bavorovianum's contacts with the University Library also included offering duplicates and informing us about open positions. Preliminary research indicates Poznań's academic community's evolving scientific interests and illustrates the librarianship practices in both libraries.
