Summary/Abstract: Objective: The article draws particular attention to the works of the philosopher, national and political activist Karol Libelt from Poznań, which were kept in the Regional Studies Collection of the University Library in Poznań, and which have ownership marks on their pages in the form of stamps, handwritten entries, bookplates, and stickers belonging to previous owners. The main goal was to recognise the group of readers, the audience of the works of this philosopher, national activist, and political figure. Method: The text is arranged chronologically, which primarily allows for a closer look at the circumstances of the creation of works published over several decades, mainly in Poznań, although there are also individual titles published outside Greater Poland. Thanks to this, it was also possible to recall the figure of the philosopher who has permanently inscribed himself on the pages of local Greater Poland history. The analysis included over a dozen titles from the Regional Studies Collection in which it was possible to identify numerous provenance marks. Conclusion: The research yielded diverse information not only about the readers of these nineteenth-century publications, but also about the journey of the books themselves to the place where they are currently stored, the University Library in Poznań. Among those who reached for Libelt's works and added them to their book collections were representatives of the local landed gentry and intelligentsia, as well as institutions serving the common good. It is worth noting that although the analysed books are mostly local editions, they reached not only the libraries of Greater Poland residents and organizations, but also enriched the library collections of institutions operating in Vilnius, Lviv, and Western Europe.
