Summary/Abstract: The article presents a critical edition of a yet unpublished cycle Siedm pieśni na siedm artykułów Modlitwy Pańskiej [Seven Songs for Seven Articles of the Lord's Prayer] by Wacław Potocki, one of the most important Polish poets of the Baroque era. The poem was written after 1677. It consists of eight pieces: a prayerful introduction to Jesus Christ and seven songs, constituting a poetic meditation centred on successive phrases of the Lord's Prayer. The presented transcription is based on the only surviving copy (manuscript in the National Library of Poland, cat. no. 3047/III), following the standards of modern critical editions. The principles of transcription have been discussed in detail, and the editor provided a register of his corrections in a commentary. The text of the poems has been supplied with linguistic and factual commentary. In particular, the explanations have sought to show several intertextual references to various places in the Bible. The whole is complemented by an appendix containing an edition of Song XII of Potocki's Pieśni nabożne [Pious Songs], which, in terms of content, corresponds to the presented cycle.
