The moral purity of women as a determinant of gender relations in Nubian villages

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the relationships between women and men in Nubian villages. In everyday life, private space, assigned to women, and public space, belonging to men, are constantly constructed by social relations. The determinant of these relations is the moral purity of women. In my analysis, I will refer to the concept of embodied space proposed by Setha Low.
