Summary/Abstract: In 1631, the Sejm conducted a thorough reform of the records of the succamerarius court in the Sandomierz Palatinate. According to the provisions of the act Archive for the Succamerarius Court Records in Sandomierz, the head of the court's chancery became the boundary scribe (pisarz graniczny), and each boundary bailiff (komornik graniczny) was required to send him the issued judgements. A division of the records also took place, with records maintained by the scribe and records kept by the individual bailiffs. An archival survey suggested that the previously maintained records of the succamerarius court were either destroyed or appropriated. The records, once regarded in literature as mediaeval documents, were, in fact, boundary-division copies created in connection with the transcription of land court records.
