Summary/Abstract: We are very grateful that our colleagues Teemu Mökkönen (2026) and Kerkko Nordqvist (2026) responded to our call to initiate a discussion on the Comb Ware cultures in the eastern Baltic. However, this call has sharply highlighted a very serious problem – there are very few researchers of the 4th and 3rd millennia BC, and especially few who study the Comb Ware cultures; far too few.
