Summary/Abstract: This study explores the relationship between the Silver Economy and the growth of the elderly population in Algeria from the first quarter of 2000 to the fourth quarter of 2024. The main objective is to understand how economic and social factors influence the expansion of the senior population and the development of activities linked to ageing. The analysis focuses on key factors, including income levels, health-related spending, unemployment, and household consumption. By using quarterly data, the study examines both short- and long-term relationships between these factors and demographic change. The results show that income, employment conditions, and health expenditures play an important role in shaping the evolution of the Silver Economy in Algeria. The findings highlight the importance of well-designed public policies that support healthcare, social protection, and the active participation of older people in economic and social life.
