Summary/Abstract: The article MDA or "Boys Like the Dangerous Ones" analyzes the representation of myths from Greek tragedies in contemporary Romanian theater using a relevant example: the Medea's Boys performance at Apollo 111 Theater, Bucharest. The analysis explores different aspects: mixing contemporary text with Euripides original and the spectacle-like solutions imagined by director Andrei Măjeri; revisiting the heroes and legendary figures of ancient Greece through contemporary post-modern irony; juxtaposing the contemporary world’s fads of wellness, relaxation through light drugs, and gender brands with the society and beliefs of ancient Greece.
