Summary/Abstract: This article examines the regulations introduced at the outbreak of the armed conflict in Ukraine regarding access to the medical profession in Poland by Ukrainian physicians. The aim of this article is to analyze and legally evaluate the provisions introduced, the primary goal of which was to facilitate access to the medical profession for Ukrainian citizens as far as possible. These legislative measures must also be assessed from the perspective of ensuring patient health security during a time of increased demand for healthcare services. The conducted research revealed shortcomings of the analyzed legal regulation, including the marginalization of the role of medical self-government and the lack of a long-term policy towards Ukrainian citizens. This article formulates de lege lata conclusions and de lege ferenda postulates, the aim of which is to ensure the compliance of the analyzed solutions with the requirements of proper legislation, as well as to ensure that doctors and patients have adequate protection of their rights and a sense of security when healthcare services are provided by doctors from outside the EU.
