Summary/Abstract: New media have changed the way we communicate and acquire knowledge, revolutionizing the way students learn. A constructivist model of education is becoming more widespread in which the student actively constructs his or her knowledge in interaction with digital media. The aim of the article is to analyze the concepts characterizing adult education in the digital age, to identify changes in adult education forced by technological development and to present examples of the use of digital technologies in academic education.
