Summary/Abstract: Awkwardly Alive (Bucharest, ART Publishing House, 2023), by the distinguished and multifaceted writer Varujan Vosganian, is striking not only through the number of texts worthy of an anthology; still, it is worth emphasizing that the author “sees” (and when I say sees, I am thinking of the Sanskrit root of the term vid and the original meaning of the verb—namely, to see through knowledge, to see with the third eye, as we know from the unrepeatable ancient texts of humanity, the Vedas, which, for instance, also fascinated Eminescu) in the length of the poems and in their density the first sign of creative force and fertility.
