Summary/Abstract: Since January, Matej Bel University has been a member of the European University Alliance EMERGE (Empowering the Margins of Europe through Regional and Global Engagement), which unites nine universities from different parts of Europe. The idea behind this alliance is to connect universities located on the periphery of countries, outside capital cities and out of the spotlight. Under the auspices of the alliance, a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) was held in mid-September 2025 for doctoral and postdoctoral students from member institutions. The host university this year was the Universidade da Coruña in A Coruña, Spain.
