Summary/Abstract: The following article first appeared in French, in the journal Revue roumaine des sciences sociales, série de philosophie et logique, tome 14, no. 2, 1970, pp. 147–156, bearing the original title: Le principe de la connexion nécessaire. The next issue of the same publication also contains a contribution by the philosopher, entitled Les quatre temps de l’acte dialectique (no. 3, pp. 239–248), which should likewise be considered for inclusion in a Romanian version. Le principe de la connexion nécessaire would be cited by its author more than a decade after its publication, in 1981, in the Tratat de ontologie, vol. II of Devenirea întru ființă, in the context of the discussion on the ontological “closure that opens.” We have considered it appropriate to republish it here, since our journal hosts a commentary on the Tratat. Fifty‑six years after the article’s publication, its relative inaccessibility today, as well as the need to better understand the context of the philosopher’s reflection, sufficiently justify, we believe, our decision. The original pagination has been reproduced in square brackets.
