Dincolo de amfiteatru/ Umbra luminoasă
Beyond the Amphitheater/ The Glowing Shadow

Summary/Abstract: When I arrived at the Faculty, I already knew quite a lot about the English Department and its members. I was anxious about French, where I had started late; other linguistic priorities had been imposed by an education begun in the darkest decade of communism. / The memory of Professor Cornel Ungureanu will always be tied to the immense generosity with which he opened my academic career, but also to the significant disappointment that I believe I caused him.
