Summary/Abstract: Online education has been recognized as an essential mechanism for guaranteeing equal access to academic resources for individuals with vision impairment. Considering the fact that over 2.2 billion people around the world are afflicted by various forms of vision impairment, digital training, which is consistent with accessibility principles, plays a key role in overcoming systemic barriers to educational inclusivity. The development of education technologies in recent decades has led to a radical transformation of the way in which training is organized and realized. Nowadays, online forms of training, which were viewed as an extension of traditional education in the past, are central to education systems around the world. Despite this evolution, equal access to digital training remains limited for many social groups, including individuals with vision impairment. vision impairment. The present article studies the potential benefits and the fundamental challenges involving the online education of people with vision impairment by presenting good practices and innovative approaches from various countries.
