Summary/Abstract: The New Journal of Human Rights Prize was conceived as a public sign of recognition for those achievements that defend the freedom and dignity of the human person. Equally, the Prize sought to draw attention to the individuals themselves—those who, through generosity, tenacity, and expertise, give concrete form to the ideas of freedom and dignity. In 2025, for the first time, the NRDO Prize laureate is not a person, but an institution. This time, the merits for the “exceptional achievements in promoting the freedom and dignity of the human person”—to use the standard, generalizing formulation of the motivation—can no longer be framed within an individual biography. They are the result of a community that has acquired a professional identity.
