Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the role of the Republic of Turkey in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular emphasis on the restoration of Ottoman cultural heritage. While Turkish involvement spans various sectors – the focus is placed on its cultural and religious engagement through mosque reconstruction. The study investigates key domestic and Turkish stakeholders who have shaped these restoration efforts, paying close attention to the motivations, collaborations, and power dynamics at play. Special emphasis is placed on the rebuilding of mosques destroyed during the 1992 – 1995 war, but also the accompanying changes in narratives and the revision of history.
